Ah yes, indeed.
I don't mind if it doesn't feel green, since there are no cards in Magic that do exactly what it does, and the mechanic is very green (its an anti-flying card since it only works if your opponent plays with flyers... well, or if you play blue green and give your opponent flyers). As far as I'm concerned, if this mechanic was on multiple cards a couple of years ago, it would all the sudden feel like a green mechanic.
But you are right... maybe a bashful drake isn't the best creature type to put on this. I may be moving this over to my nightmare cycle, so this could change...
Oh, hey, thanks! I know that I was using the skeleton wrong, but it wasn't self-apparent how to use the skeleton the right way at first, then, by the time I figured it out, I was already doing it the wrong way so I kept doing it. I'm not sure how to make the skeleton more self-evident... when I first created the skeleton, I clicked on a lot of things... just not the card's code. Maybe a line at the top of the skeleton's page saying "feel free to click on the card code to make your cards!", maybe not.
I agree that the cost is too high, but it's a tricky thing to cost. While the card won't often be Blessed Wind, it will occasionally. I want the opponent to not feel stupid when this happens, since they did allow their opponent to get to 7 mana. Still, I'm easing up on the color restriction, and putting some thought into dropping it to 6.
Much better.
Whoops! You're right. Editing the card so it works.
Yeah, this one was a bugger to get right. I initially wanted the Knight to choose one of the colors of the card exiled, but finding a way to say that simply proved too difficult. Eventually, I just figured it would be easier to let the players having something a little better.
Osmoting Arachnae is clunkier. If I come up with a better ability, I might just use that. Maybe a green drake that flys if you exile a flyer... I suppose it reads better that way. I do lose flavor points, though.
Thanks!
Yeah. I'm trying to throw a bone to the members of my group that like to blatantly break the rules, so Mythic ends up with a few cards that only work in silver land. It seems kind of cool to me, but thank god for the existence of Cocoon for precedence, because it is clearly too wordy as it stands.
Awesome flavour!
Nice way around the "I don't want to tap my fatty for its ability" problem. Also, "Kraken Spellshaper" is an awesome type line.
