A rather obvious challenge which as far as I can tell, no one has put on the list yet.
Similar to Challenge # 018, I think?
Uh. I knew there was one that already existed.
completely changed
Oooh. Eenteresting.
Cascade is the poster child for this kind of scaling, but I'm sure we can come up with other takes on it. Not sure if any of them can avoid mentioning "converted mana cost" in the rules text though.
Like the C13 commanders.
Cards that include CMC in the effect are fine. my Legends of Elder Telengor would def qualify (in fact it was the inspiration XD)
Link created Voracious Sapling. Skirting the "cost can't include X" rule somewhat, but interesting.
I created Serra Aspirant. It's like eight cards in one! I'm quite pleased with how close to sensibly powered almost all eight options are.
Mass Cleansing
Proactive Necromancy
Assemble the Clone Army, circumventing the "no X" rule in a rather cheaty way.
Biding Time Maybe I should've used X in the benefit of the card over how I worded it, but I kept it out of the cost by using cumulative upkeep.
Quicksilver Mimic
I made Profane Wisdom and Arcane Wisdom.
Slowly catching up to modern challenges. I made Magewright Familiar and Grave Muncher. Though, now that I've taken a look at the challenge again, maybe my two cards don't qualify? Is an increasing cost necessary for this challenge? I guess so. I guess I took the expression "As the card increases" too liberally. So I went back and created Untangling Shears to answer this challenge the right way.
I keep failing at #113, so I had to make one more card. Added Hemo Rage. Not perfect, but at least now I can move on.
