I like the flavour for no particular reason. "Remove two" looks similar to chargecast with cost 5U, but slightly more appealing to the eye and slightly worse to play. I'm not sure if that matters or not (maybe all chargecast should have an N, although probably not).

That is a valid point. This was supposed to just represent Blue's "remove your own counters for a benefit". I think it's sufficiently not-Chargecast to be OK, but I'm not sure.

It does feel remarkably like chargecast to me, actually.

Probably time to ponder something different. ETB remove counters for benefit, perhaps?

Something perverse in me is suggesting "When ETB, move up to 2 charge counters to this. This gets +1/+1 for each charge counter on it", but I think that'd be just a bit silly.

hmmm if you want players to be able to feel like theyre using charge counters for a benefit, having them pay for it or getting a creature sacrifice wouldnt make them feel like theyre getting a benefit, maybe something like; Conductor Drake, when this ETB you may move (up to N?) charge counters from permanents you control onto Conductor Drake. Conductor Drake gets +1/+1 for each charge counter on it. That is just an idea, but if you want people to feel like theyre spending charge counters for an advantage, you need to give a bonus to something, an extra, like if i dont pay my charge counters i get a drake, but not so good feel. Otherwise they would think, if i dont pay my charge counters i wont get anything. It gives players room for choice and a much better feeling of reward.

Yes, it definitely needs to change. However, "this gets +1/+1 for each charge counter" feels distinctly Uncommon to me. I think a Virtual French Vanilla would be best here - a one-shot ETB effect of removal-for-benefit.

Updated to activated Shroud (like Advanced Hoverguard) and resized. (Was 3/3 ETB sac unless remove 2 charge counters).

(Needs a flavour reboot if this sticks)
