On Hushblade:

I think that I read somewhere from Maro that they've specifically avoided making Artifacts have access to counterspells.

On Hushblade:

Good point. It requires 3 mana sorcery-speed setup, but that's still a lot easier than Forbid. Should probably require some life payment or sacrificing permanents/cards in hand, or both.

Or just become nonrepeatable. A Vulshok Morningstar that you can sacrifice for a oneoff counterspell is probably pretty playable.

On Hushblade:

Also, it's repeatable counterspell, you rarely see that even in blue. I'm not sure if that's a good combination or not, though I like the flavour.

On Hushblade:

Ooh. Countermagic is one of the rarer effects to see on artifacts; I can't think of any since Null Brooch. Which means Legendary is plausible from that point of view, but the rest of this card doesn't really make it feel Legendary. Tricky.

On Unrest:

That sounds sweet! :)

On Lake Smuggler:

Yeah, it totally is. Thanks!

On Lake Smuggler:

Is this really meant to be CMC 4, {4} activate, searching CMC 4 or less? That's different to the way your other rebel searchers work.

On Retrieval Squad :

Hm, Rebels searching downwards. Interesting choice. I've mused about bringing back Mercenaries (searching downwards) and think it could be a mechanic that works well if decently developed. Doing the same thing with Rebels makes some sense; it certainly lets the casual decks have fun with both; but it is initially confusing.

On Unrest:

I am doing something quite like this, except mine takes place when the guilds are being formed, in the past. Wanna swap ideas? Link is: http://www.magicmultiverse.net/cardsets/840
