Yow. That's an awesome removal spell. Technically it's not going to be card advantage - it gives you a 1-for-1 then a whole bunch more 1-for-1s - but I'd certainly expect this to be first-pickable and plausibly playable in constructed.
It's sort of like "Replicate — Discard a card."
I understand wanting something to do if you have no creatures in hand, but finding something relevant after combat is important.

Oooh yeah, this is a nice card in the CMC-5 "all-in, win or lose now" space. Pay 5, discard your hand, destroy opponents creatures.
But it's not really any nastier than "All your creatures have +2/+2 and intimidate", just different.
