Makes sense to me - doens't quite strictly-better-than Phantasmal Terrain because you can only hit your own stuff, but does more or less the same thing on your own.
The worst part about keyword abilities is that a single keyword ability can be multiple static/triggered/activated abilities. And mostly it's certain static abilities that cause weird corner cases in the rules e. g. CDAs.
That's some great flavor all around.
Ally hate seems a bit counterintuitive as a concept but I don't really mind it - not here, at least.

Comp rules mentions keyword abilities quite a lot, not just as a category or reference point (as opposed to say summoning sickness). The interesting thing is level symbols are also keyword abilities.
If rules text can mention activated and triggered abilities, and mana abilities, why not other types of abilities?
