That's true to an extent, and this is an effect I would consider making a leyline. But we do have precedent for similar cards at this cost (like Authority of the Consuls). By replacing the 1 life ETB with the hush effect, the card becomes more useful than the narrow use case AotC had in KLD-AKH Standard vs RDW. I feel that the built-in drawback with cards like this is that they do not affect the board when they come down and are therefore terrible when you draw them late (so I don't think it's too powerful).
I considered making it noncreature, but I feel like that would not be powerful enough for a Mythic. Similarly to Hostage Taker, the trick is to remove him before his controller gets the card advantage (like with a Bolt or combat damage). While his ability is more powerful, the timing restriction keeps it in check. The 2 life prevents too much recursion, though this can be offset by building more around the card (as it should be).
Should this be -2/-2 like Vicious Offering or -3/-3 like Mire's Grasp? It IS a bolt format, after all...
Well, hate answers shouldn't be too cheap. Instead if you want this early, then make it like a leyline so it's on the field before the game even begins.
Is this too powerful for a common (or at all)?
Not sure if this should be a 1/1 or a 0/1. Don't want it to be a 0/0 or that might incentivize paying G to put ability counters on all your creatures.
