perhaps it could be only cards that share a color with the spell?
that would make the reminder text even longer though. its still in mid-late development anyhow
1 thing for sure is passing will count as casting, and goes on stack. Also, the passing costs are high because it is SO easy to fill the yard. This set will also have exile synergies, so you are not just losing junk. It is meant to be like Scavenge, where you can sift things for value. Thanks for feedback. For now, it will most likely stay as written.
Eh, templating can sort that wording out, the intent is clear.
This being effecively colourless is a concern though. That could be salvaged by making this "Reduce the cost by one of the colours in each exiled card's cost" - but that also makes the size of the mechanic less flexible.
It circumvents color. So any color of deck can use this from the graveyard.
According to the reminder text you exile it as an alternate cost to casting it, which does mean you put it on the stack, then exile it before it resolves? So you don't get to resolve it. Or if it somehow stays on the stack it resolves and goes to the graveyard again...
Blue is the mill color, and it can sometimes bleed into black like this. Maybe too strong i will change.
also mecahnically it is really good boosts for 2 and 2 SO it needs drawback
the idea is that it is faithful to its owner, and it cant work w/op the owners faith
very nice! i think it is black though, i dont know if zombies and mill can be mono blue like this
also seems a bit strong. maybe mill 2?
doesn't seem very faithful, in fact when it's creature dies it gets as far away as possible
maybe change it to: When equipped creature dies, return it to the battlefield tapped then exile Faithful Stake
it sacrifices itself, that is pretty loyal.
Or maybe
When equipped creature dies, return Faithful Stake to it's owners hand (therefore it is loyal to yu)
now i am compelled to research olivia's story arch
I have become a vorthos XD
i know. just seems too petty for her, she aint no teardrinker!
the quote doesn't say who's tears... lol
This is very restricted.
Also that quote started good but I find Olivia unlikely to even mention that she cries :P
nice flavor text, is it because he has become their friend by being manipulative?
I like that he is sorrow, it fits
This is sad especially because if you pay 1 teardrop you can bring him back home
and hes desperate

Two issues with passing:
doesn't red usually discard then draw?
cool flavor. what about a card like this called Curfew? in black or something (tossing ideas)
gg :D
lol sigarda is still relevant? this has good flavor, especially for a start over card :D
Seems too expensive just like Demon's Plea
(I don't mind that they're at sorcery either, but even at instant, that's steep)
