Not sure how I feel about reprinting a single/only a few cards of a cycle. I will see if the flavor is there to force it in.
Pushed to uncommon for now as it raises a red flag.
Revealing the Mono-green, Primordial theme.
Your concerns do not ring an empty bell. Corrupted being the Storyline mechanic, I have the intention to refine it a lot to make sure it feels good.
I don't think it's inherently unplayable. If you get a 4/4 for 4 at common/uncommon, that's probably worth giving -1/-1 to your random 1/3 filler chump blocker that you don't care about (say). I agree it'll be hard to balance for constructed.
Oooh, corrupted is an interesting way to make a linear mechanic. But it's reallly really linear - you can't play a single creature that doens't have it.
But for an efficint 4/7 indestructible that alo happens to be a Ghostly Prison variant? Possibly worth it.
Problem is; in draft corrupted is probably unplayable unless something like 40% of in-colour creatures have it. And if you get that many to choose from - then in constructed; it is almost zero downside. The only way I can see to make up for it is for most (enough that you have no choice BUT to play them) corrupted creatures are terrible. And that wouldn't be any fun at all.
There's certainly a germ of an idea there that I like, though.
