Because unless you're against an Infect deck it would be dual land with zero downside if you only got a single poison counter EBT. According to Maro when developing Future Sight this version of the Dual Land was deemed to powerful to print as you'd rarely get to ten.

And I'm considering using that for variant for the rare land cycle. (With a lose 1 life thrown in).
