Random Generator gave me Magus of the Bazaar and Sift. Odd match up. End result: +1 card and a lot of looting. So, I had to add an activation if I didn't want the casting cost to go out of control. Also, no longer a 0/1, because that spot is reserved for Kobolds, and this doesn't seem like a good space for a Kobold, since they should be attacking.
I think the cost would be more usual and readable as "
,
, Put a time counter on ~:" and "
,
, Remove a time counter from ~:".
It is funny the coincidences you get when you hit Random Card this many times.
For some reason, it was important for me to reverse the order. But, I really have no idea what I was thinking. Switched over.
It is funny. It's a good lesson on the nature of coincidence, as well, and what that really means. Is it a coincidence when I get two cards that absolutely don't want to work together, or have opposite effects? Was it a coincidence that I got two basic lands at the same time, or just an eventuality? I remember playing DnD once with a dungeon master who was rolling 3d20 to find out how many silver pieces was in a chest, and rolled 20, 20, 20. So, when the players opened the chest, it exploded in our faces, rocketing silver everywhere. The odds of triple 20 are 1 in 8,000, which is absurdly rare, but I reasoned that, as rare as that is, it would probably happen again a few more times in my life as a roleplayer. To date, though, I've never noticed that happen again.
