Random Generator gave me Watchwing Scarecrow and Mistfolk. Congratulations to Mistfolk, as well, for getting it right in one, and not having a different text than the oracle wording.
Since I have a number of white artifact creatures already, I'm going to make this another one. I originally wanted the creature to have vigilance automatically, and require the flying to be turned on somehow, since that played with the fact that the new creature was meeting Watchwing's white requirement, but not its blue one, but the whole idea was too much of an in joke, and I just gave the thing flying. Still, I do like how Vigilance interacts with the activated ability.
Nice strong common. Possibly too strong to keep WWS's P/T, actually. Interesting from a colour pie POV: this probably is okay, actually, because it's very similar to activated prot-colour or that kind of thing.
I know, it's strange. We are so used to "White and Blue get 3/3 flyers with a mild ability like Vigilance for 5" that everything else in comparison is busted. I guess the power level of this card in a draft mostly depends on what else is in the enviroment. High level of Artifact removal? Other comparible flyers? Faster Game on the ground? Plenty of flying creatures for him to block? Propensity of 4-power creatures?
I wouldn't rule this creature out, the way it is, but further down the road, this may be cut back to a 2/3.
