Is this supposed to be assymetric across colors?
Red’s only ever gotten 2 common cards that made tokens at instant speed, and both of those got the tokens as a rider. White, on the other hand, has six instants that make tokens (most make two at a time), and at least ten more that make the tokens as a rider or conditional/secondary effect.
R/W is getting a tokens theme in the set, so this seemed pretty on-point. And fun.
Could it be ? Probably a little bit unusual to be allowed for though.
I think the white mana needs to be there far more than the red. The red makes the goblin a more natural fit, but everything else about the card is white, with the Instant speed specifically making it more white than red.
It's an ugly cost though, so maybe making it a design that doesn't "need" the white would be preferable.
EDIT: In case it's not apparent. I don't necessarily agre with the "need" either.
An artifact could make two tokens for 4 at instant speed, so the double twobrid cost should be fine
Technically, if an artifact was doing the lifting, it would only work at sorcery speed for most of the first turn it’s online. After that, sure, instant unless otherwise specified.
I’ll take those into consideration, but for now it’s part of a cycle. If a better option for the card’s slot comes up, I could see this getting bumped.
Would the visuals of the cost bother people less if it were flipped?
Oh yeah, you always put the hybrid cost first
