Random Generator gave me Chronozoa and Spell Snip. Wow, did I test a pile of very confusing cards before I landed on this little number. I love the fact that your opponent may feel like he can control two of them... and then he notices that each of his spells now cost {2} more, lest he flood the board...

Wow. That's a heck of a Rhystic Study.

You know, the funny thing about Rhystic Study, is that I've played that thing in group games to good effect. There's a tipping point, where players don't care any more, and no one at the table pays their stupid {1}. You can just draw those cards... I want to play my spells.

I wonder what would happen with those play groups when this creature hit. How much would it change their opinion if they saw the direct relationship of letting the ability resolve copious times? Or would the card just end up busted in those formats, spiraling out of control in very short order because a couple people insist on playing their spells?

I thought Rhystic Study was fairly universally acknowledged to be terrifyingly good in multiplayer. And this would probably be significantly better.

But nonetheless, I forgot to say - well done on ending up with something so simple, given the number of fiddly and complicated possibilities from those source cards.

Thanks. That was a bit of a challenge.

Trying this out as a Mythic. It embodies a lot of where I think Mythic should be... a dramatic ability that's simple to understand, and has an aura of specialness. Unfortunately, a lot of players expect two more keywords on their Mythics nowadays. I don't think it's necessary, but I ain't the masses. :S

I could see this as a mythic, in the convention of slightly unusual mythics like Mirror-Mad Phantasm. In fact, this is quite similar to Mirror-Sigil Sergeant, another mythic.

I think this needs to be renamed as "Rhystic Hate-Magnet" :D
