Is the Lorwyn ability supposed to be something this gains permanently ?

I feel like they both are but the wording on the Lorwyn one is a little odd.

"If Lorwyn gets more votes, this creature gains 'Whenever you cast a red spell, this creature gets +1/+1 until end of turn.'"
