Could also have been Aven of Enduring Hope but we got a pidgeon-sized version already.

If this becomes tapped after taking 3 or 4 damage, it will die. That, and it's a wonky reference to Castle so maybe a new variation with something like "As long as it's not your turn, ..." would be better?

The card is IMO perfectly fine without knowing the reference.

For the other issue you should feel free to make necessary changes. I'm on the fence on this one.
