Ouch. It's good enough if it's an Act of Treason that gives lifelink for {1}{r}{w}. Bouncing the creature it's too much and out of color anyway.

I don't think this is meant to bounce. I think "Return it to its owner" is meant to indicate the gain control only lasts UEOT.
