it would be written just as 'take an extra turn after this one' alsom shouldn;t those merefolk not untap next turn? otherwise no point in tapping them

no, not necessarily What i think makes more sense, is it should say "as an additional cost to cast this spell, tap five untapped merfolk" not ALL your merfolk, because you could have 1, 2 or anything and it would be too strong. you also still have the last part written incorrectly. Directly can be taken out, its how magic is written

i think it fits the flavor of returning, the deck being the waters.

also because it interacts with yer aether spellbook :D
