Yepp. This fits much better into red.

Though you still need to define the type of mana: colorless? red? any color the land produced? any color the land can produce? any color of your choice?

Also it's cleaner to boost lands you control rather than those you own.

Oy. That is a good effect, but this sure is expensive. As it stands right now, assuming you only have land sources for mana, you would need to have 8 mountains in play just to get any value out of it.

This gets kinda wonky with, for example, Rakdos Carnarium. Which color is added in that case? Black? Red? Both?

Suggested wording:

"Until end of turn, whenever a land's ability adds mana to your mana pool, add one additional mana of any type that land could produce to your mana pool."

That brings it in line with things like Caged Sun.
