Very cool choice of words there.

Black seems to be getting a lot of weird, build around me effects at rare this set.

Oh yeah, this was a card too. Hmm, as well as the aforementioned Enter Door of Night, (((Dissolving Malevolence))) and (((Drown in Darkness))) (and even (((Ungoliant, Spider of Night)))) arguably fall into this camp as well. I think with these rares I just ignored archetypes entirely and with flavor full ahead. On the other hand (((True Deceiver))) is almost entirely a tech card - it has both of the relevant types and is also a hate card against distinguished.

Having randomish fun cards isn't necessary bad and surely every set needs a couple of them, but for RB03 and RB04 slots I have to likely make something that helps the black's actual archetypes.

I am actually a fan of (((Dissolving Malevolence))), mostly because I saw Spirit tribal and I think its a neat way to counter Ungoliant:^)

Aside from Rebels, it feels like Black really wants to play enchantment archetypes but doesn't really have any payoff (or pushed cards) for it.

One thing I noticed archetype-wise is that (((Dissolving Malevolence))) and (((Feed the Emptiness))) play really well with (((Ley of Lamentation))), by making you dance around max life to get maximum lifegain benefits. Imagine Christmasland with (((Ley of Lamentation))), (((Dissolving Malevolence))), and (((Healer of Hurts))) - that seems like a really fun deck to draft and build around.

I see, yes. Those are all excellent observations that I've missed. I'll try to follow on those leads.

Thx.
