The fact that you can try to equip it to itself is kinda funny, but doesn't seem like a good idea designwise since it likely raises some questions...

Reminder text could help. Or "It is no longer an Equipment."

The rules are the same as for Ensouled Scimitar otherwise... and now I notice that one has the reminder text in question, so I'll add it here, too.
