Really, really good.

I think this card needs to be instant. Without being able to use it on your opponent's turn diminishes the effect of needing it to stall out to try and find a creature to stabalize with.

Maybe that would make it more powerful in limited but then I would like it in constructed. I can see how sorcery can still work because it lasts more than one turn.

I don't know for sure about costing, but it seems reasonable. Compare Kor Hookmaster: that does something very similar, but on this, you pay 2 whenever you like for approximately one creature card, and on that, you pay 1 immediately for a small white body.

The immediate comparison for me is Blinding Beam.
