Note that I designed this card almost two years before Gatecrash. When the "grind" mechanic was first spoiled for Dimir, I was so certain they were going to print this card that I made a bet on it with a friend. I lost that bet, of course, because the Dimir counterspell in Gatecrash was Psychic Strike instead.
