Should cost 4BB or maybe even 3BB at rare, IMO.
I'm unsure how good I want to make this, going with 3BB because it's a sorcery.
Heh. Nice name :)
This is way too good even at full cost--make it non-black at least
Made it cost 3BBB and a sorcery. Instant speed blockers seemed wrong for black. As is, I think it's still a compelling card, but not that powerful of one.
Powerful enough. I would play this over Nekrataal.
Yeah, this is stronger than Nekrataal easily it should probably destroy non-black to make it a little less crazy
t1: Swamp, Diseased Vampire t2: Swamp, Vile Apothecary, Swing t3: Swamp, Demon of Desires t4: Murder of Crows
Sounds like a nice curve. Honestly, this is one of the halmark convoke cards in the set, so I am not averse to it being good.
Also, saying it's better than Nekrataal is a bit off. Nekrataal is cheaper, which is pretty significant. This one is certainly flashier, which is why it's a rare.
at 6 mana w\ convoke its not too difficult to get it down 4th turn without any ramp type effects at all. Much like Nekrataal, granted Nekrataal does feel a tad overcosted by modern standards.
The biggest advantage Nek has over murder of crows is its more open to repeat performances.
Anyway Current Version is just fine as is imo
This seems fine for a rare to me. And I think rare is right for a fiddly kill-spell-plus-token-maker; see Seize the Soul.
Name is taken come Innistrad though :P
