I really like this mechanic. Very simple, but lots of potential for interesting plays and interactions.

One of the main challenges for this mechanic is making sure there are good reasons not to just put the counter on the creature itself.

This card's reminder text is off, other cards say something with "up to one target". Also the name shouldn't be in there.
