possibly too good for common. compare it to prescient chimera. this card:

  • is easier on your mana
  • has 1 extra point of toughness
  • has an ability that is "worse" but honestly is probably better assuming you build properly

i'd feel better about this card if it was a 3/4 or a 3/3

Or compare to Nimbus of the Isles? It seems Wizards might be pulling the power of common flyers down...

­Nimbus of the Isles is a "baseline" card like Runeclaw Bear. I'd definitely expect to continue seeing obsoletions or near-obsoletions of Nimbus of the Isles at common most years. Even Kamigawa had one: Shinen of Flight's Wings.

This is interesting because this is a "symmetrical drawback" effect, but one that's easy to build around. 3/3 is certainly fine.

The strongest part of this card is that it can bounce itself.
