I think it might want to tap for the last ability. It feels like it'd be a more land-y design that way. It's also obviously extremely strong, but I assume that's deliberate.

sorry, should've had the tap in it which makes it somewhat less strong but still good. Thinking of changing the vice counters to a mana cost...thoughts? (as it is supposed to represent the kind of establishment that pirates or other ne'erdowells would operate like an opium den)
I figured whenever a creature dies as with the tap in last ability you can only use it once a turn.

As to power level it needs to be somewhat close to (((Archipelago)))

Changed it from creatures dying to creatures entering the battlefield as if they are dead they can't be corrupted in the den.

fixed error with Tap symbol - did say (T)

sorry the tap symbol on the card showed up as a capital T in brackets ( T ) instead of the tap symbol.

This looks overly complex. Too many step.s

I do not follow the flavor you are trying to set up, but what about merging the last two abilities into any of:

  • {?}{b}, {t}: Put a -1/-1 counter on target creature that has entered the battlefield this turn.
  • {?}{b}, {t}: Put a -1/-1 counter on target creature. Activate this ability only if a creature has entered the battlefield this turn.
  • {?}{b}, {t}: Put a -1/-1 counter on target creature. Activate this ability only if a creature has died this turn.

Alternatively, you could remove ETB tapped, and change to tap for colorless. Maybe it addresses SecretInfiltrator's problem, or maybe it doesn't, but it does eliminate a line of text from a somewhat texty card.

Oh, and as an aside, if the ability on your non-basic land feels more powerful than the keyword 'exalted' (As seen on Cathedral of War) then maybe your land is too powerful (considering Cathedral of War both enters the battlefield tapped, and taps for colorless mana, but is still a decent playable card.)

Not saying this is. It's just the measuring stick I use.

Took SecretInfiltrator's first Idea and mixed it with jmgariepy's idea to get this.

Thinking that I will make activation cost {5} to bring it into the non-cycle of rare lands.
