Why'd you bring back "bury"?

Because "dies" is restricted to a certain subset of permanents and only from a specific zone, mostly.

Originally I also used it to shorten the wording for milling, but now that that one gets its own keyword action that's not as pressing an issue anymore.

Bury also means something different than what you're using it for. Just say "Whenever a land card goes to your graveyard from anywhere"

I replied to that concern of yours four years ago. Same answer. :)

"Dies" is only used for a certain subset of permanents, although the rules support it being used for any permanent. (However, it is only for objects moving from the battlefield to the graveyard, to it is not applicable here.)

"Bury" means something else; it means to destroy without possibility of generation, and is no longer used. It also only applies to permanents (i.e. objects in the battlefield), so is also not applicable here. (Even though some cards (as mentioned by SecretInfiltrator) do say "bury" for objects from other zones, I have a copy of the Fifth Edition rules, and it says "bury" only applies to permanents.)

(However, destroying a permanent does usually cause that permanent to die, unless a replacement effect changes that.)

I think that "Whenever a land card goes to your graveyard from anywhere" is clearer and is probably best, though.

Yeah, the Fifth Edition rules say one thing, the current rules say another thing, but clearly at some point the rules must have been even different, so why can't I change it back to that? Because you don't have the necessary reference material?

Obviously the current rules say lifelink is a static ability, though it used to be a triggered ability. Things change.
