Random Generator gave me Mana Leak and Wings of Velis Vel. I'm evidently a big fan of mini-games. I put them in a lot of cards. Neither of the base cards had much of a mini-game going into it (although, Mana Leak does, on rare occasions, make players make interesting choices). I'd slow down on these cards, but players respond well to them. Or, at least, other card designers do. I know there's a bit of a complication when the only people giving you feedback are the same exact people who need said feedback. Feedback Loop. Wow, that is a sweet expression. Feel free to tell people I came up with it.
My favourite Mana Leak decision moment was when my spell got hit by Mana Leak when I did have 3 untapped lands... but they were Boseiju, Who Shelters All and two City of Brass. So to save my spell would have cost me 4 life! In the end I didn't pay, and won the game anyway.
