Random Generator gave me Advice from the Fae and Wildslayer Elves. Advice of the Fae is a bit scattered-brained... but it looks like fun, I guess. I don't know why I've never bothered to fit it in a deck. It's worth noting that {2/u} feels bad to Johnny/Spike. You feel unoriginal for dropping it in a mono-blue deck, but, unless the card does something mind-blowingly weird for the color, you're unwilling to pay the {2}. Feh. Funny thing is, I like {2/u}... I just don't like most cards they've put it on.

Yeah. Flame Javelin, Spectral Procession and Reaper King were awesome. Advice from the Fae was definitely the worst of its cycle.

I'd argue that while Spectral Procession was powerful, it might as well cost {w}{w}{w}. Not a good use of that casting cost, except for odd instances in draft where you have to take it. Same with Tower Above (although, that was still a powerful card at {2}{g}{g}... but it still made you feel bad for having to do that.)

Flame Javelin, though, made sense at all costs, in mono-red, red-green and no-red. Reaper King is fun in a very Timmy sort of way, so I get that one.

Beseech the Queen may not have been powerful, but at least it took advantage of the funky casting cost, so I give that card a thumbs up. I assume we'll see {2/w} again. I hope that when we do, we'll see a few more versatile cards, or cards that use the casting cost (or cards that include lines like "If you payed blue mana").

I love the "with two -1/-1 counters on" as a drawback. I never would have thought of it, yet it rings very true.

It's funny. I keep trying to imagine how this card could be broken, but it seems fine. You get an awesome effect if Solemn Simulacrum or Duplicant pops up, but it seems okay. Huge creatures like Skyshroud Serpent are great, too, but manageable. Even one of the best cards to flip with this Woodfall Primus is screwed up because of persist.

Sundering Titan is probably too much. But the same could be said about any Sneak Attack type card and Sundering Titan...

The effect is very like Summoning Trap, but for one less mana, two fewer cards revealed, and -2/-2 p/t, but with a 3/3 creature as well so it's obviously in the right ballpark.

It seems there have been several fancy "put creature into play" green cards recently: wizards seem to be exploring more things green can do. I think they're limited by (a) paying the mana (green sun's zenith) or (b) only working if there's enough big creatures in your deck to be worth it (summoning trap).

In fact, the only problem here is that the one-cheaper cost, and fewer cards, and toughness restriction, seem to speak more towards trying to combo it with giant broken bombs that have effects so overwhelming they don't care about the loss of power. But otherwise if it were only a sorcery it's probably less strong than summoning trap because it has a high chance of finding only /1, /2 or /3 creatures which are barely worth it.

But as a rider on a reasonably sized creature, it seems good, but not broken.
