Random Generator gave me Vermiculos and Grim Feast. I like Grim Feast. I don't think you can really build on Grim Feast without taking something away from it. I was struck, however, that Grim Feast must have been terrible during it's time. Few things in early Magic could stand up to a Lightning Bolt. Nothing was big, so you'd rarely get a lot of life off of the Feast. In order to make it work, you probably had to go G/W/B, so that white could pump the toughness before the creature died, and you could get some bonus life. Since I had the opportunity with this creature, I made sure it could boost the opponent's creature 'by accident' if you wanted to do that.

You can boost the opponent's creatures "by accident", but this card has lost the reason to do so in the switch to 4 life rather than X life.

Oh, whoops. Well that's wrong. Back to X life.
