Was originally "Whenever you would gain life you may untap target creature instead."
Changed from +2/+0 to a 1 damage ping. Since the apostles are all 1/1, a buff of +2/+0 is useless without anything to protect the low toughness or otherwise make the creature evasive.
I made a cycle of creature's that did something when targeted with a spell of their color, though the cycle had no relation to the set.
Followed SecretInfiltrator's suggestion.
Would make a good aura, actually. Or if you do want it to be an artifact - how about equipment? (In both cases with the obvious rider that it untaps the thing it attached to)
This does none of the mechanical things artifacts do to distinguish themselves from enchantments, so how about making it an enchantment?
"Whenever". Also there should be a comma between trigger condition and effect - the text parses weirdly as it is.
This effect fills a specific role in this set? It seems weird if there is no particular point to it.
Cost reduction rather than having mana production in white, huh?
": Equip costs of Equipments you control cost less to activate this turn."?
Though arguably it might be better to make it a static ability rather than an activated ability.
Does this really need double red in the cost? In general Shatter is one of those spells like Cancel that can easily support strictly better versions in most sets.
Maybe the environment is artifact-heavy enough to make this more than a sideboard card?
Reduced cmc from 4 to 2 and added flavor text
forgot UEOT
I think "Whenever ... is destroyed, you may search ... land card and put it into the battlefield tapped. If you do, shuffle your library." is best.
Reduced cost to zero.
The comma doesn't feel right. Can I reword the text to "You may search your library for a basic land and put it onto the battlefield whenever a non-creature permanent an opponent controls is destroyed. Shuffle your library afterward."
Wow. That's pretty cool and funky, although sadly most creatures will be irrelevant since it'll be tapped.
You're missing a comma after "destroyed" and a shuffle clause.
land no long enters tapped
costs instead of
Cycle now also taps for
Taps for any color instead of and reduced the CMC from 5 to 4.
changed to "whenever an opponent casts an instant or sorcery" rather than "whenever an opponent casts a spell"
