Wacky flavour. Evasion too situational? I ended up with a few of these dual-evasion creatures, maybe I should just make them all one or the other.
Originally based on Sea Goat from Simon R Green (Anthropomorphic goat, matted hair, swigs from whisky bottle, trenchcoat, shotgun, sidekick of heroic red and ???? clad Bruin Bear) but now somewhat different.
The "standing on ledge" and "leaning slightly forward" parts make it sound like Mountain Goat.
Edit: Especially with the goat part.
LOL. Not deliberate, but I'm happy with the reference. Part of the reason its here is Mark Rosewater's articles about goatnapper, and so I wanted to reference a little-used creature type.
I think dual-evasion is best saved for uncommon and higher. The "Flying, fear" creature is uncommon, the "Flying, shadow" creature is rare.
It does seem kinda odd evasion. But I like it. It gets a pass from me, even if it's too texty for an official common.
Most of the text isn't actual text, but just art description...
Thank you both.
Although Captain Caprine isn't a 5/5 demon "BB: other creatures get -1/-0 and I get +1/+0" :)
I think it's fine occasionally for common on a small creature, provided it's in flavour, but I should probably leave only one and shift the others to uncommon.
Hm, maybe this should be the reverse: "if defending player controls a mountain, ~ can only be blocked by creatures with flying"...?
