For Challenge # 075, based on Isamaru, Hound of Konda. This ended up being really wordy for a vanilla creature. The second ability is inspired by the original flavor text, while the ultimate basically summons Takeno, Samurai General to lead your troops.
Oh cool! I was trying to think of a planeswalker version of Isamaru, but it just didn't work.
My problem with this is that planeswalkers avoid mentioning non-evergreen mechanics.
I thought about that. Bushido is simple enough that I could write it, but that would hurt the flavor. Realistically, this wouldn't be printed due to other issues, so what does one more matter?
Garruk Relentless says "transform", which isn't evergreen.
Man, this is wordy. Given the vanillaness of the original, I wonder whether this could cope with 2 abilities rather than 3?
Hmm. Well, Planeswalkers are supposed to feel like they don't belong in the set they're printed in. That being the case, you would think that a few of them would feature more off set keywords. That said, when is Teferi going to rise from the dead and get his spark back? I'd love to see the grimmaces on people's faces when phasing is brought back for one card. :D
