This is a mechanic used to represent spells that are slower than normal.

Decider: If a player has a choice whether or not to take an action during the resolution or triggering of an ability of a permanent with Decider, that player flips a coin. If they win the flip they must take the action and pay any costs if able. If they lose the flip they must not take that action. Used on 7 cards: Mountainous Life Coach, Mescalent Elves, Skelecider, Goat, Phyrexian Dealer, Spastic Growth, Animal Rights

OLD FORMAT :

When an optional triggered ability of a permanent with Decider would normally be able to activate, Instead, flip a coin. If heads, the ability does not trigger or activate. If tails, the ability’s controller must pay the costs (if any) and the ability triggers. In addition, if a spell or permanent with Decider would cause a vote, each player must vote at random. Do this for each activation. (optional abilities often include the words “you may” or “choose one; x, y, z,” )

In card text or details pages, write the mechanic's code name (playtest name) between square brackets, like "[Crittercast]", "[Bushido 1]" or "[Delay 4 {2}{R}{R}]". It will be expanded to the mechanic's name plus reminder text, such as "Suspend 4 – {2}{r}{r}. (Rather than cast this spell from your hand,...)"
To expand a mechanic's name but not its reminder text, include parentheses at the end of the square brackets: "[Crittercast()]", "[Delay 9 {R}()]".
