Your opponent would just choose not to tap the creature you have targeted, and would instead tap all other creatures he or she controls that share a color.

Actually, now this makes more sense as U/B. Blue has Sleep, and Black has Assassinate.

Good point. I'll change Chant accordingly. Executioner's Song (Poem? I forget.) will have to go, or maybe change, but that's just fine.

The problem is that this causes mass-tapping to bleed in colors (black, green and red) that do not normally get it. Bleeding mass counter gibing as part of a set/block mechanic is one thing. Bleeding another mechanic as part of that gets to be a bit much.

It was, and it does make some flavor sense (the Dagda using his harp to put the fomorians to sleep). I considered making it only work on your own creatures, but concluded that this version allows for more interesting choices. Now that I think about it though, this may be to powerful. The other option that I can think of is to have it target all creatures that share a given color, which could make it somewhat less powerful.

Done, and increased the cost accordingly.

I was wondering if the ability to quite often use Chant as a Sleep (minus the don't untap) was noticed?

This should be Draw a card, with devoted giving extra cards (That's how I did fertility cards in my set).

IMO, it could be played in sealed, or maybe side-boarded in against a deck that is neither white nor blue. At that point, it basically makes the creature a defender with reach. Though point taken, moving it to W/B.

Ah. I was thinking that I might have made a terrible spelling error of put it as the wrong card type, something like that. :P

• 2013-07-14 16:02:27: Circeus commented on Moonlace

Nothing, I'm facepalming at my own idiocy for also forgetting there was already such a card.

• 2013-07-14 15:07:56: rourke commented on Moonlace

May I ask what I did this time?

Changed to B/R. Duly noted on the colors for Chant, I will keep that in mind.
