There are four Planeswalkers active on Arboretia, each has their own agendas that are at odds with one another.
Mechanically, the four represent the different ways Green Magic interacts with the other four colours.

Rialla, The Preserver
Rialla has been collecting endangered species from throughout the multiverse and transplanting them to Arboretia for centuries, ever since she first visited the plane.
Rialla combines White and Green mana to heal and protect, preserving the status quo regardless of others wishes.

Nasun, Trophy Hunter
Nasun travels the multiverse seeking creatures worthy of hunting. On Arboretia he has found an ideal hunting ground, full of diverse creatures.
Nasun combines Red and Green mana to ensure his victory over the mighty prey he prefers to hunt.

Elena Moreau
Elena was once a member of the Simic guild of Ravnica, somewhat of a prodigy, she challenged Momir Vig for leadership of the guild and lost. Seeking a new place to conduct her own experiments she came across Arboretia where she has set up her labs on an Island that now bears her name.
Elena combines Blue and Green mana to manipulate life itself, twisting it into new and fascinating shapes.

Varo Deathwalker
Varo seeks to understand the mysteries of life and death. Once cannot exist without the other. He has studied with both great necromancers and arch-druids and has blended their teachings into his own philosophy of magic. On Arboretia, the savage and deadly nature of its inhabitants is the perfect crucible for him to refine his new philosophies. Varo combines Black and Green mana to explore and exploit the cycle of life and death.
