  could you get the same effect with

  ": Tap target creature with flying you control and put a hangar counter on it." ": Remove a hangar counter from target creature you control and untap that creature. This ability may target creatures with Shroud as though they didn't have Shroud."

  "Creatures with a hangar token don't untap during your untap step and gain Shroud."

  May be a bit more clunky but avoids the flicker restrictions on ETB effects and can still protect them

  I think the flavour comes across once you read the whole card. I can see the [Radiation] test replaced by a small radioactive hazard sign. Likewize on Noxious Grove I can see a small Biohazard symbol and a lightning bolt like symbol on Lightning Prairie. Not sure on the others yet - maybe a cog wheel for Steam and an inward spiral for torque???. Not saying the symbols SHOULD be there, just that they are how I interpret them.

  Does the flavour I'm after come across here? Or do people find themselves wondering why this could produce [Radiation]?

  This and Verelin Hangar are an attempt at capturing the flavour of (respectively) a big flying carrier of little flying machines and a hangar for little flying machines. Similar mechanically to Pentavus, and somewhat similar in flavour. I wanted a power clause in there as well, but the flavour gain wasn't worth the extra words.

  They're somewhat restrictive designs: giving everything the Sengir Nosferatu ability could definitely get irritating, and if all flying creatures can flicker, that restricts how many ETB effects I can put on flying creatures in the block. The question is, is it worth it to get the funky flavour and interesting combos?
