Celebrating the return of the Egg type... with not one card, but two!

There's a syntax error "oy" instead of "of".

"Manifest as something" seems something that would introduce the possibility of memory issues with other manifesting cards / morphs instantly, especially as all of these are creatures.

If you combine it with other versions, maybe. But what if all face-down cards in a format are made 0/3 Egg creatures with defender? What if this is a singular card in a preonstructed deck?

Overlay cards shall exist as accommodating material, as always.

Is it common for tokens and such to be used in casual games? I have yet to see a single use of the manifest/morph overlay cards for example. I didn't play Khans limited when it was released.

If there are no other manifesters in the environment, then it's fine there specifically, which might be enough. Still, at a larger scale, in which MTG is commonly played, it could be a pretty large hurdle to handle if you ask me. Also, it sets a precedent for more such things which sounds really bad in this sense. Eh, whatever.
