How does a mimic counter an ability? Also, you should probably have the reminder text "mana abilities can't be targeted" on an uncommon, especially since artifacts tend to be mana rocks

Chest artifacts have a theme of activated abilities that e. g. let you draw cards. The story this is trying to tell is that you open your Chest and rather than finding a treasure (draw a card) you find the Chest to be a monster. So you counter the activated ability that would hand out treasure as you put the mimic onto the battlefield.
