Hmm. I think this level of ramp should be at least 5 CMC, but take that with a grain of salt because I didn't research on Gatherer.
Well, this is a reference to Caged Sun, which was itself a reference to Mirari's Wake. This is Mirari's Wake restricted to green, so lower than
is probably right. (Although note that Mirari's Wake is quite a popular classic.)
You know, it's similar to a green Crypt Ghast. I guess it's fine.
Vernal Bloom has just the mana portion of this for the same cost, without the green Honor of the Pure attached and allowing your opponents to get the mana too. Somehow it's not sitting at junk-rare prices, even if it's never been a particularly good card.
