Aha, people are making Devoid cards. I have a plan to add a CSS version of the Devoid title bar / frame; I'll see if I can get that done in the next week or two.

Surely what is needed is a little fully-transparent circle on the left of the type? :)

Here we are, here's my current plans for how devoid cards will look:

Compare Nettle Drone, Benthic Infiltrator, Brutal Expulsion, Eldrazi Displacer.

I found a way to make the double gradient work for hybrid cards, in case anyone wants to make a devoid hybrid card :)

Good work, sir. Are the text boxes transparent?

They're not, sadly, at the moment. I'd like to find a way to do that, but it's harder given how I structured my HTML.

Given the format, making them transparent would likely make the text very hard to read with an image. I think it's fine if they're opaque.

Did you get my email, BTW?

Wow; this page is messed_up Alex. I think the four card images have stretched the comment box; and it's now under the 'call of madness' mockup.

Also your mockup has a bleed of colour from the name into the space for the image; is that intentional? Or just an compression artefact?

V: It's more that your scaling / resolution is messed up. This page displays fine on a fairly wide browser window. But yeah, okay, it seems I shouldn't embed wide images into comments. Edited.

And the gradient blending down into the art box was deliberate, but I've decided against that - see the latest version.

L: I obviously wouldn't make the text boxes completely transparent. It'd only need to show through at about 25% transparent / 75% opaque to get the Eldrazi effect, and I think the text ought to still be quite readable then. I'll give it a try. And yes, I got your lovely email :) - still figuring out what might be suitable.

Thanks for trying to make a Devoid frame. Hope you succeed.

There you go!... In Chrome, at least. Firefox is on its way.

Edit 2016-02-17: Firefox and IE too.

Thanks a lot! I'm really grateful.
