We joke that our basset hound emits a strange aura that puts us to sleep.

Mechanically I actually find this card surprisingly interesting. If I were making it for a real set, I would make it mono {u}'s version of a Fiend Hunter, as it performs similarly, but it can actually be a bit better. The creature remaining tapped makes the creature unable the block the turn this card is removed and it also doesn't allow the opponent to retrigger ETB effects. Obviously not always better (static effects or auras come to mind) but food for thought.
