Seems WAY too wordy :-(
How about "When ~ enters the battlefield, exile a creature you control. // , Sacrifice ~: Search your library for a card with CMC less than or equal to half the CMC of the card exiled by ~..."
That's still long, but maybe a bit better. Ideally the card wouldn't remain exiled, I'm not sure if there's an easy way to say that.
If you sacrificed the creature on activation rather than casting, it would make it more simple too. You could add a "when you could cast a sorcery" if you want to avoid block and sac effects, although I don't know if you need to.
