Curiously this ended up quite similar to Konda's Banner.

True, but I'm not yet happy with what it does and how it feels (why should only legends get a generals promotion). Konda's Banner was indeed an inspiration for the Leadership mechanic, I think cards like this need playtesting to find their place in the manacost/powerlevel ratio
