As opposed to Platinum Emperion, does this wording imply that you can still pay life costs? I think it ought to have at least the basic reminder text of "Damage causes loss of life."
The theming of seven with wurm does remind me of Pelakka Wurm which is nifty, but I'm not particularly convinced for the necessity of Wurm tribal here.
Is having tribal on most noncreature cards a concept for the project this is intended to appear or is more widespread usage of tribal a more global direction you are playing with?
EDIT: I mean, it's not like there aren't some good arguments towards making tribal commonplace: https://markrosewater.tumblr.com/post/728141059439345664/the-talk-of-food-and-blood-as-artifacts-makes-me
Then again, I don't really even know what's the point of having subtypes that are exclusive to a specific card type.
Comprehensive Rules: "If a player pays life, the payment is subtracted from their life total; in other words, the player loses that much life."
Comprehensive Rules: "If an effect says that a player can't lose life, no player on that player's team can lose life or pay any amount of life other than 0."
You are correct about reminder text. I just leave the reminder text off of a lot of card concepts. I'd definitely have reminder text concerning life payment.
Though the Platinum Emperion you mention doesn't contain "Damage causes loss of life." and rightfully so: It doesn't while this effect is active. You could argue for "Damage doesn't causes you to lose life this turn."
The point of having subtypes that are specific to card types is a big can of worms, but it all boils down to corner cases. And if you don't think caring about corner cases is an issue, take a look at the original wording of Mistform Ultimus or Mistform Mutant/Standardize. It's nice to not have a need to mention Aura all the time, even if it comes up for enchantments a lot. It also makes Locus cards and Urza's cards more bearable etc.
