So, I'm writing a little simulation of a fantasy population right now, and I changed the meaning of a single unit of time from "year" to "day".

This lead to some interesting developments like my population doubling within a month or our champ Orc Commoner receiving three offspring from different partners within the first month (pregnancies are instantaneous right now).
