How does this work?
Ugh, conFUsing. Comes into play as X+1/X+1 with X -1/-1 counters on it.
So it's a 1/1. Then you remove the -1/-1 from it, and... well, I guess it's SUPPOSED to be "Drop a forest, green creatures get +1/+1 UEOT" but it isn't, since lands are colourless. But that's an incredibl minor concern compared to "How the heck do you remember what X is? How do I tell the difference between this cast for 4, and this cast for 5 but has been used one? They're different sizes, but have the same number of counters on them!"
That confusion can be resolved; but should be avoided if posisble, and made rare+ when not; so that we don't have to put up with it unless we really want to.
I always found memory issues to be annoying to design around
lmao just have a bigger brain exdee
