Ok I'll push this to uncommon. Although I see your comparison Alex I tend to not compare designed cards to anything pre 8th edition.
I'm trying to find where a simple flyer in green would be costed at for common. I guess Scryb Sprites is still costed right. I'll keep it an insect though due to faeries having been moved to blue for the most part.
Um yeah - wow. That's a lot of chump tokens. I could even see that pushing to rare for power and splash reasons; but uncommon might be better as it's very much a "Ah; right, I see this card. I can pick it and draft a token deck now" kind of card.
I'm not sure what you actually want to do with a small army of squirrels; but an army of squirrels is a reason unto itself.
Same comments as for Scouts of the Warrens but even more so. No way this should be common. (It's an awesome card, undoubtedly; just not common.) For an army of six tokens from one card, this should perhaps even be rare. (It certainly makes Icatian Town look pathetic. But then, most things do.)
Not quite sure why a set would want this. If a set is exploring green flying, it could have Scryb Sprites, or Scryb Ranger. If a set isn't having green flying, then it's better to have no green flyer than to have a very bad green flyer.
I suppose Goblin Rally can be one mana cheaper if you're getting half those tokens next turn. I'm not sure it should be common though; anything that makes 4 or more tokens has always been uncommon or higher, and that usually applies even to 3 or more.
ok updated.
I would find that more acceptable, personally. But I'm not someone who will ever be in Development.
I'm ok with them not holding up to a cycle of rare lands. I may give it the ability to tap for colorless though. Thoughts?
Actually, I would argue that this is worse than the Mystic Gate cycle, since in multiples, this is literally useless without another land.
Well this is a little stronger than Bastion and can be used by any color. This is part of a mega cycle that will cover all three colored combinations. I'll be putting up the rest of the cycle shortly.
Granted this is a little worse but this is also still a 4 mana card and is an uncommon. I'm fine with this not being better than it's rare counterparts.
Pending the situation. I would not put this into a set unless there were also 3 rare 9 uncommon and 21 commons that also had shadow or gave shadow in the given set.
Shadow and trample are a pretty odd combination. How often will the opponent have any shadow to block it at all?
Seems a lot worse than Bident of Thassa, and probably worse than Coastal Piracy.
Often better than Sungrass Prairie, but that cycle was pretty bad. This may not need to ETBT; even if you made this enter untapped, it's debatable whether it would be better than Wooded Bastion.
I like it, anyway. I'm always glad to see more tri-colour-enemy lands.
