  You can't have a target inside a replacement effect. I think they allow reflexive triggers though, so if you really want to avoid death triggers,

  > If this creature would die, put it on the bottom of your library. When you do, put a +1/+1 counter on target artifact [creature] you control.

  This feels more like an ability word to me. Slag could be the bottom of library part, but I'd like to have other options than just a counter. The flavor is obviously augmenting other artifacts, but maybe have other buffs at uncommon and higher? (More +1/+1 counters, keyword counters, temp effects, etc)

  Having a keyword that requires shuffling is a huge red flag. Maybe bottom of the library, if you're looking to avoid recursion

  I get that you want to emphasize the theme of twos and doubling, but one "until end of turn" should suffice.

  On the plus side "double strike" are two words.

  The potential 4-for-1 on top of the additional damage requires a specific board state, but hurts quite a lot.
